So this would be my very first blog post. Been trying to blog since college days but I never had time or if ever I had time, I can't finish the story. I'll let it rot on drafts for months or even years lol Have you ever felt that guys? like you have so many random things or topics you want to blog about but your ideas are just scattered and you can't seem to write it completely.
Anywaaaaaay, back to the topic. First, I would like to congratulate me and my boyfriend for surviving our very own first solo trip as a couple. Thanks to my talksh*t friends for leaving us behind haha jk
Okay so to start with, our journey started when we arrived at JAC Liner terminal around 3:15am I guess, and I thought we were early or just in time for the 5:00am trip but nooo we were few minutes late as for the bus was already full. And mind you it was the only trip going to Mauban. So we had no choice but to go with plan B which is to ride a bus going to Lucena and ride another bus going to Mauban.
Cubao-Lucena will take 4-5hours on the road but I didn't felt the long hours because I just slept the whole journey out. We arrived at Lucena Grand Terminal around 7:00am and again we were few minutes late for the bus going to Mauban. But the barker(?) or the guy who's in charge in the terminal said that it won't take long for the next bus to arrived. But we were sooo excited to get to Cagbalete early that we joined another group of travellers when they rent a jeep going to Mauban port. Yaaaa'y we met new friends :D
It took us about an hour to Mauban port from the terminal. We got off at the market to buy some things we need and went to the port right after. It was 8:30am and the port were almost full of people who wanted to have a glimpse of the island. So okay after 30 mins. of waiting the boat arrived at 9:00am but we were informed that we need to have tickets and register at the tourism booth before we can get on the boat. We were like whuuuut?! 30 minutes of queuing in the line for nothing? (Lesson learned, research COMPLETELY about the place you're going to visit before packing your bags)
Anyway, I left Mark at the line and told him I'll be the one to go to the tourism booth which is one tricycle away from the port. And when I reached the booth *tadaaaa* long lines again. I registered our names and paid for the environmental fees which is 50 pesos each but when I got my ticket my goooosh we were listed on 7th trip which would be roughly 4:00pm according to the booth officer. I was like whaaaaat! It's 10:00am and we have to wait for 5-6hours??? I called Mark and informed him about the trip and he said it's okay to get on the 11:00am boat since he is already in the line. So okay I went back to the port and waited for the 11:00am trip.
There were no rules/order in the port that's why some people got mad after there were some who cut lines. Especially to those who just got in the port. That made a commotion between the people, coastguard and boatmen. But after the lady made a scene, everything was back in order. We were allowed to get on the boat since we were just two.
After almost an hour of boat ride we arrived at Cagbalete Island around 2:30pm. We hired a local tour guide to help us out going to the Joven's Sea Blue Resort.
